I think it’s safe to say that it is common knowledge that we’re supposed to eat as many leafy greens as possible. That being said, it may also be one of the most “hated” veggies out there, and plenty of us are lacking in getting our daily greens in. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of salads or cooked greens, so I’ve been drinking them daily in smoothie form, getting about 3-4 cups of greens per smoothie. So, I thought I would share some of my favorite smoothie recipes to help you get your greens in, too!

** Also side note, each of these smoothies makes about 32-40 ounces. I usually will drink a whole one as breakfast or lunch, but you can also halve these recipes for a smaller serving. All of these smoothies are vegan.

The Beginner’s Green Smoothie
– 
3-4 cups romaine (has the mildest, least noticeable taste)
– 1 cup frozen mango
– 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
– 1/2 cup frozen peaches
– 1 1/2 cups water
– 1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– 6-10 ice cubes

The Green Banana Smoothie
– 2-3 cups kale
– 1 large frozen banana
– 2 pitted medjool dates
– 1 cup frozen mango
– 1 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– 6-10 ice cubes

Sweet & Tart Smoothie
– 3-4 cups baby spinach
– 1 cup green grapes
– 1 green apple
– 1 cup frozen pineapple
– 1 lemon
– 1 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– 6-10 ice cubes

Swamp Water Smoothie (Guess what color it is! 😉 )
– 3-4 cups greens of your choice – beet/turnip tops, kale, collard greens, spinach, romaine… whatever you have on hand)
– 1 cup frozen mango
– 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
– 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
– 1 tbsp agave syrup
– 1 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– Lemon juice
– 6-10 ice cubes
