As I’m putting my new endeavor “out there,” I get asked this question A LOT – what is a health coach?
And I totally get why. There are lots of people out there calling themselves “coaches,” and it can be hard to know who is legit, who’s just trying to sell a product, who actually has education and training, etc. etc. etc… So first things first: I’m not here to pressure you into buying any certain program or supplement or WHATEVER – unless you enjoy it and it works for you. These types of things certainly have their place and they do work great for some people, but I like to think of them more as a supplement to your lifestyle. There’s no such thing as a quick fix.
Anyway, back to the question at hand – what is a health coach?
As a health coach, I help busy individuals who are feeling lost or stuck regain control of their health and create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle so they can stop feeling sick & tired. So, now the question is – are you ready to look and feel your best?
My 1 on 1 health coaching works like this: we meet weekly via phone or Skype for an average of about 45 minutes for 12 weeks, and discuss your health goals, celebrate your successes, and work through your challenges in ALL areas of life. You don’t fit into a “box,” and I’m not here to force you into one. Your uniqueness is something beautiful and something to be celebrated! I want to help guide you so you can live the happiest, healthiest life that works for YOU. The problem with so many health programs is that they don’t take you, as a complex human being with a unique story, into consideration. They say, “Oh, well if you just had more willpower….” and let me tell you, that is NOT the key to success.
So what is the key to success? Habit change. Creating new healthy habits and breaking the old ones so that you can live a long, healthy, happy life without having to think about it. How do you get there? Support and accountability – which is where the health coach comes in. I’m here to really tap into your “why” and discover all the reasons you’ve been stuck, and how to overcome these challenges so you can experience true health & happiness.
The good stuff: results!
You might be thinking, “Okay, that sounds nice, but it sounds like a lot of ‘fluff.'” So to make it a little more concrete, here’s what my clients have been able to achieve by working with me so far:
– Weight loss & smaller dress sizes – and people are noticing!
– More energy and endurance to get things done, and finding a form of exercise that is easy to stick to and enjoyable
– Learning how to eat & cook healthier for themselves and their families in a way that feels natural and effortless

Through completing the Total Transformation myself, I’ve gained so much beautiful, positive energy that now I want to spread this message and help others be able to live this way. Being healthy, having a body that can move, and a spirit that can love is truly a gift. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. Do I have a six pack and a Kardashian booty? Nope! I’m still on my own journey, but I am 100% in a healthy, happy place, and I’ve found a lifestyle that works for ME. Even if I never have “Instagram worthy” abs, it doesn’t matter to me as long as I’m happy, healthy, and able to share this wonderful life with the people I love. And THAT is true health & a life worth living.
It’s so easy to get swept up in social media and the world of health and fitness, and it gets confusing REAL quick. You deserve to figure out what works for you. You deserve to feel and look your best, and to be able to give the world the best version of yourself. It doesn’t have to be hard – in fact, it shouldn’t be. Your ideal life is within your reach.
